Who We Are

YFT App (Yari for Tinubu) is a grassroots mobilisation platform supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 re-election campaign under the All Progressives Congress (APC). This policy explains what information we collect from members and visitors, why we collect it, and how it's handled.

Information We Collect

When you register:

  • Full name, gender, date of birth, phone number, email address
  • State, LGA, ward, and polling unit (ward and polling unit are optional)
  • Whether you hold a Permanent Voter's Card, and its VIN if provided
  • Association or group affiliation (optional)
  • A passport photo, if you choose to upload one

If you apply for empowerment, student, market-women, or disability support:

  • Details relevant to that category — e.g. business type, school, skill area, or disability type and the support you're requesting
  • For disability support specifically: an optional supporting photo, which is treated as sensitive personal data — stored privately and never shown publicly

If you donate:

  • Your name, phone number, and the amount you tell us you sent — donating doesn't require an account

If you request a printed ID card:

  • Your delivery address, city, state, and LGA

If you enable notifications:

  • A push-notification subscription identifier tied to your device/browser, so we can send you alerts

We do not collect GPS or live location — only the state, LGA, and ward you enter yourself. We don't use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

How We Use Your Information

  • To verify your membership and issue your digital/physical ID card
  • To connect you with empowerment, education, and business-support schemes you apply for
  • To process donation acknowledgements
  • To send campaign updates, event alerts, and opportunity notifications
  • To count grassroots mobilisation numbers by ward and LGA

Who Can See Your Information

Your full membership details are only visible to you and to authorised YFT campaign staff who manage registrations and applications through our database provider.

Scanning your ID card's QR code opens a public verification page. That page deliberately shows only your photo, name, member code, state, LGA, and join date — never your phone, email, date of birth, or voter card number.

Where Your Data Is Stored

We use Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) and Vercel (app hosting) as our infrastructure providers. Both are standard, security-audited platforms; we don't sell your data to anyone, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Your Rights

You can review and update most of your details any time from Edit Profile in the app. To request a copy of your data or a correction we can't make in-app, contact us at info@yft2027.com.ng or call +234 903 180 2482.

Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your account, ID card, photos, and application data at any time — from Edit Profile → Danger Zone in the app, or without the app installed via our account deletion page. Deletion is permanent and can't be undone.

Children

Registration is restricted to people 18 and older, in line with Nigerian voter eligibility. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Nigeria Data Protection Act

We aim to handle your information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can also contact the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
